Most of us want to age gracefully without disease. In fact, this is by far the most common objective I hear from those whom I am helping.
We want to enjoy our golden years. So, how do we best go about achieving this?
This tip may surprise you…
As much as possible, avoid doctors and hospitals.
There are several reasons why this radical statement may hold true.
Firstly, the traditional medical industry focuses on treating and suppressing symptoms rather than addressing the root causes of illnesses and diseases. This results in a frequent lifetime dependency on pharma drugs and treatments without improving overall health.
Not only that, these pharma drugs result in side effects and add to the toxic burden of the body. Then more drugs are prescribed to manage the symptoms from the original scripts. It’s a vicious cycle.
Secondly, hospital environments AND doctors offices are often filled with germs that could make you sick, moreso than you originally were, especially if your immune system is compromised in any way. For example, a bacteria like staph is a notorious concern in hospitals.
Lastly, cost… The seemingly endless cycle of referrals to other doctors, more labs, more drugs, round and round you go. Unfortunately, many of these visits and labs are needless or futile. You remain sick or even worse off than when you started.
So, what is the secret to achieving longevity and aging without disease?
Being proactive and healthy lifestyle habits.
Unfortunately, many times red flag symptoms go ignored. They are brushed under the rug until the symptoms progress into something worse.
These red flags are there for a reason. They are early warning signs of something gone wrong. When proactive steps are taken and these problems are addressed early, they are much easier to correct.
Halting disease progression early is a wise way of avoiding scary diagnoses down the road.
Sadly, most wait until symptoms become frightening before doing anything. Then, the typical response is a trip to the doctor’s office or ER where the endless treadmill cycle of drugs, labs, and more docs begins.
Now, this is not to say that maintaining regular consultations and checkups with healthcare professionals should be avoided. Oh contrare!
Regular visits with your wellness professional is one great way of maintaining a proactive approach to good health.
Taking preventive measures by paying attention to those early red flag warning signs is how you can address potentially detrimental issues before they become more severe.
The question to ask yourself is, “What steps am I taking to be proactive about my wellness and longevity?”
If nothing comes to mind, the time is now to take action so you, too, can age gracefully without disease and enjoy your golden years.
